THE GUIDE TO ROLEPLAYING
1. The Intro
A good intro will be something that talks about the roleplay you created. For example:
A good dream always makes you awaken
with happy thoughts and a good breakfast.
But a bad dream can put you uneasy.
The next level of bad dream is called
a Nightmare. These can make you wake up
sweating. As for the next level,
the one you haven't heard of before, is called...
Deathmare.
This explains that my roleplay will probably be about dreams and nightmares.
2. The Form
As Eps said, every roleplay needs a good form. It's the key to a long/succesful form. As for an example:
Name: (name here)
Age: (how old?)
Gender: (girl or boy?)
Past: (this one you decide to put on)
Looks: (must have)
....
sometimes if your roleplay is about a certain thing you add different links onto here.
3. Rules?
Roleplaying is a fun forum game that many people participate in. It is a creative game, and there isn't many things serious about it. But roleplaying DOES have rules. Sometimes a lot and sometimes a little. It depends on what kind of roleplay you are looking for. Roleplaying CAN be serious at times. Here are some good things to put in rules:
Gore: For me, the more gore the better. There aren't a lot of peaceful roleplays around. Most of them have a even a drop of blood. Gore makes things more detailed. But some people have a weak stomach and they prefer a little gore.
Love: Romance is like gore. It makes more details and helps explain the concept and shape of the story/roleplay. Love makes the world go 'round.
God-modding: Many and I mean MANY people hate god modding. I am one of those. God-modding is when a person develops powers that were prohibited to any one else. And that isn't fair. Many people do this. And that is why mods and admins are around to help out in the form.
4. Finally...ROLEPLAYING!
The key to roleplaying is having a good form, a set of rules, and a nice introduction that explains most of the roleplay. An example for roleplaying:
" NAME WHAT DID HE/SHE DO?. "
" Sarah played."
